Copenhagen was one of those cities always on my radar. I’d regularly see cheap flights there but was put off by the price tag the city is associated with. I finally gave into this last December and took off for a city break in Copenhagen.
I won’t lie, I had high expectations for Copenhagen and at the time the hype around Hygge was in full swing. I was excited to see what the city had to offer and if this Danish way of life really did exist.
Copenhagen didn’t disappoint. Nor did the Hygge way of life which was highlighted due to it being a few weeks before Christmas and the city being in full Christmas mode with markets and decorations.
That being said, Copenhagen is a city that would seduce you not matter what time of year you visited.
I hope these photos help you to see just how gorgeous the city really is. I take no responsibility for making you want to book a flight after reading this…
Oh and they price tag isn’t much more than a city break in London would set you back.
Where to Stay
We stayed at Generator Hostel which is kinda more like a budget hotel with plenty of private rooms and onsite bar. It was clean, quiet and had pretty decent wifi! We chose to stay here because it was located centrally and the metro station was only short walk away for getting to and from the airport.
