This post in the third in a series of photos of Scotland from my road trip in March. (View the rest here)
I was so excited to visit some castles on our road trip, however we never actually made it inside one! I also found I wasn’t quite excited as I imagined about castles. What I did love was the abandoned buildings we would find randomly on the side of the road, in the middle of no where. Scotland has a lot of history and my guess is most of these buildings relate back to the Jacobite era. This post also contains some images of the most northern point in Scotland.
Oh so beautiful Scotland!
I grew up having so many family summer holidays in Scotland that exploring castles has to be one of my favorite pastimes! You grabbed some great photographs – very atmospheric!
I love Scotland. The weather in the first few photos just adds to its beauty I think!
I love castles, they are some of my favourite places to go! I love the fog in these photos!
