I’ve said it a few times lately, about how much I’m loving Instagram at the moment despite some of the bad rep it is getting. Yes it is hella annoying that it doesn’t go in chronological order or that I don’t always see my favourite ‘grammers but there are ways and means around that. Namely a tip I heard from Sam Sparrow on What She Said Podcast about creating a collection with all your faves and then you can easily navigate to their grid to check out their latest photos.
What I do love about Instagram is the inspiration I get from looking at my feed, I follow so many amazing accounts but these travel accounts are some of my favourite at the moment. They fill me with wanderlust and make me want to get off my butt and go exploring. Something that is pretty important when our lives are busy and it’s hard to make time to sit down for lunch let alone take a walk outside. What’s more they all happen to be awesome ladies.
Instagrammers to follow for immediate wanderlust
Hannah is currently living in Vancouver and exploring lots of her surrounding areas of Canada. Prior to that she was living in a van and travelling the USA. So currently her grid is a wash of blues and greens of her adventures outdoors and it just makes me wanna jump in my car with my tent.
Chloe’s grid is not dis-similar to Hannah’s, they both love travelling and having adventures. Chloe’s is very much a mix of different countries and different types of adventures though. From beautiful cityscapes to the great outdoors you’ll find something that will give you a bad case of wanderlust on her grid.
Flying the Nest – Jess Valentine
Jess from Flying the Nest has an incredible grid with photos from places very high up on my bucket list. Being part of a travel blogger couple she has Stephen on hand to snap awesome shots like the one below. There is something about seeing someone in a shot that gives me added wanderlust. This is one profile that never fails to inspire me.
Erin’s photography is some of my favourite of all the people I follow on Instagram. Not only that but she is a lover of outdoor adventures and getting out of your comfort zone, exactly what you need to ignite that wanderlust and inspire you to see more of this world. Erin’s feed shows off the world in its natural beauty and best light.
I’ve only got a certain amount of energy reserved for caring what people think of me. Of course I care, to some extent. I think it’s important to care. But you have to be mindful of how many fucks you give about other people’s opinions of you. If it starts getting in the way of you doing your actual work, it’s far too many. You have a responsibility to yourself to put that energy somewhere else– somewhere that allows you to plant seeds for your truth and for change. You will never be for everyone. What a relief. Get over it and get to work.
Girl vs Globe
Sabrina’s feed has so many amazing photos and she prides herself in making sure she is in most of them. There is something about seeing someone, similar to yourself, in a photo that makes you think ‘hey I could go have that adventure’. Expect to see everything from city breaks to outdoor adventures on her feed. Sabrina also has a second Instagram account where she reposts her favourite images with the hashtag #girlsvsglobe, it’s also a dream to look at.
Happy World Book Day! I know only the UK is celebrating today and the "proper" date is April 23rd… but I think every day should be book day so I won't let that technicality stop me 🤓📚 I've known I wanted to be a writer ever since I learned how to read. Little pigtailed me would sit in the back of the classroom and jot down story ideas into a battered little notebook. It seems crazy that through blogging my dream kinda sorta came true ☺ So thank you for following me, for trusting me and for giving me a chance to make this crazy Internet thing my life! 💕 ••• TELL ME: What are the most life-changing books you've read? Which novel is your favourite? I'd love to know!
Jess’ grid is not only full of images that give me wanderlust but images that inspire me to actually buy some new clothes and dress a little more fashionable from time to time. Each image tells a different story and the colours are always thought through. Again you’ll find everything from city breaks to beach holidays on Jess’ grid.
Happy Sunday guys! Hope you've all got a lovely day planned. I'm back home in Leeds now but the Antigua spam is going to continue for a couple more days before I fly to Switzerland on Tuesday! This was one of my favourite beachwear looks from Antigua, in @accessorize from head to toe. Shop the look via @liketoknow.it or find the links in the shop page on my blog 🌴🇦🇬#Ad #Accessorizer #InTheMoment #liketkit http://liketk.it/2sn92
So Sophie is kinda an anomaly to this list as she isn’t just a travel blogger and wanderlust inspiration. She is also a lifestyle blogger and someone who gives you serious lust for life. Her posts (be sure to read the caption) often give me a kick up the butt to go grab life by two hands and live it to the max. However, she also keeps it real and knows that isn’t how life is everyday. Definitely one of the most relatable accounts I follow.
